I invite you to consider joining us on March 10-13, for the 6th annual Global Fair Banking International Conference - held this year in Washington DC, in conjunction with the national conference of the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, the premier US non-governmental organization committed to disciplining banks and other financial institutions to prevent predatory practices, promote economic justice and insure that the financial system serves all people fairly and justly, to promote economic opportunity for all.

The conference will also provide workshops on housing finance strategies in the new global economy, and how community organizations (NGOs) have collaborated with multinational banks and government to promote small business, economic development and greater job opportunities, particularly in some of the US's most distressed local economies.

Getting capital to flow sustainably from global financial markets into local and regional economies to combat poverty and build more sustainable local economies is a huge task, and citizens everywhere must grasp current opportunities to make it happen. This conference will bring (as in the past) willing bank leaders and public officials - from the Obama administration, USAID, the US State Department, and other international funders - together with our Global Fair Banking colleagues to explore opportunities and collaborations for the future.
