The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has selected the "Future of Cities" as the subject for the 2015 Science Year. Important subjects such as this have been selected for past Science Years. Examples include "Project Earth: Our Future" (2012), "The Demographic Opportunity" (2013), "Science as Diplomacy of Trust" (2011).

The Ministry has called for papers on this subject which need to be received by February 20th, 2015. Information on the 2015 Science Year may be found here.

Papers selected will be translated into German so as to be accessible for German speaking readers.
