The Talloires Network is one of the partners with whom PASCAL collaborates. The Network enjoys a high profile and is among the several national and international bodies encouraging universities worldwide to adopt a more centrally-focussed universities' 'third mission' commitment to community service in its different senses and settings.

It gives me great pleasure to present this special issue of the CONFINTEA VI Follow-up Bulletin, only a few weeks before the CONFINTEA VI Mid-Term Review, which will take place in the city of Suwon, Republic of Korea (25–27 October 2017). This meeting will provide the necessary platform for dialogue among Member States and their governmental and non-governmental actors and stakeholders.
