Project for Public Spaces | Last Call for Proposals for Walk/Bike/Places 2020!

This newsletter from the Project for Public Spaces connects people who share a passion for public spaces to ideas and issues, news, quotes, places, and events from the placemaking movement.

Now that it’s 2020, this means we’re already excited about Walk/Bike/Places taking place in Indianapolis this year. After a long holiday stretch, we have decided to extend the Call for Proposals for Walk/Bike/Places 2020 until January 6th, 2020 @ 8pm EST. Be sure to submit if you wish to speak at the event this year!

Conference report now available! | 3rd International Placemaking Week

In an effort to show all that was learned and shared during the week, and to help us re-live the event's greatest moments, we're happy to announce that Placemaking Week's conference report is now available! We encourage you to take a look -- there's even a video!

The 7th Higher Education in the World Report "Humanities and Higher Education: Synergies between Science, Technology and Humanities" is out!

The new GUNi World Report was presented on December 10th 2019 in an open event at CaixaForum Barcelona. It analyses the role of humanities in higher education and their interrelations with science and technology.

The Report is structured around 24 key questions and it includes contributions from 130 authors from around the world. An abridged version of the Report is featured below, with the full version available for download.

Milchen Institute Report on Age-Forward Cities for 2030

The American Milchen Centre for the Future of ageing has produced the attached report on “Age-Forward Cities for 2030.. PASCAL developed contact with the Milchen Centre in distributing the PASCAL/PIMA SIG report on Good Active Ageing in America.
