Sources of Trust Building in Innovation Networks and the Contribution of Network Management

Here is a presentation made by Martina Kauffeld-Monz (Institute for Urban Research and Structural Policy, IfS Berlin) made at the Net¹swork11 International Conference on Professional Network Management on 24th November 2011 in Potsdam, entitled, Sources of Trust Building in Innovation Networks and the Contribution of Network Management. Further papers will appear on the Net¹swork11 website.

Learning cities and regions revisited: The R3L+ project

This seminar* presented findings from the R3L+ project which took a case study approach to investigate issues of quality in the development of learning cities and regions. Speakers from three of the cases (Germany, Romania and the UK) provided an overview of their respective cases with reference to issues of partnership, participation and lifelong learning.

The European Experience: Governance, Place and Higher Education - Josef Konvitz

Professor Josef Konvitz, PASCAL Associate and recently retired as Head of Division, Regulatory Policy, at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) delivered the TRE Networks Annual Roundtable keynote on "The European Experience: Governance, Place and Higher Education." Josef's paper argues for the acceleration of efforts to promote university and regional engagement and is featured below:

Bellagio Initiative outlines actions to guide future philanthropic and development collaboration

The Bellagio Initiative Summit has ended with a determination by development organisations and philanthropists to build mutual trust, share learning and develop joint training initiatives.

The commitments are contained in an aide-mémoire (PDF) which will pave the way to a more comprehensive framework for action to be published in the new year.
