Live Broadcast of the 4th Regional Conference on Service-Learning in Hong Kong

As you are all probably aware, the Office of Service-Learning at Lingnan is going to organize the 4th Asia-Pacific Regional Conference on 4th to 7th June 2013 at Lingnan University in Hong Kong and at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou. The theme of the conference is “Service-Learning as a Bridge from Local to Global: Connected World, Connected Future”. The conference aims to gather educators, students and service providers from around the world to exchange ideas, and work together for a connected future. More than 400 guests is coming from 18 different countries/regions to discuss the learning outcomes, reflections, research, best practices and the application of our pooled knowledge in different settings of Service-Learning to achieve a better world.

Knowing that you might be too busy to attend the 4th Asia-Pacific Regional Conference on Service-Learning in person, we are pleased to tell you that the following TWO important events will have live broadcast on the web.

An Introduction to the International Collaboration on Participatory Health Research (ICPHR)

Addressing health inequalities is an important goal of health systems worldwide. Participatory Health Research (PHR) has become increasingly important as a means for finding solutions in communities where the occurrence and severity of health problems is greatest.

New PASCAL book series - Universities and Lifelong Learning from Manchester University Press

Please find below details of the first three books in a new PASCAL book series on Universities and Lifelong Learning being published shortly by Manchester University Press. The series editor is PASCAL Director for Europe, Professor Mike Osborne of the University of Glasgow, and we are very pleased that so many of our associates and principals are involved in the project.

This work was inspired in the first instance by the PURE project, and a number of other books will follow.

Call for Contributions - Cities Learning Together - 11th PASCAL International Observatory Conference

A set of Conference Readings or Precedings will be prepared to support the work of this Conference. The Planning Group invites short Contributions relevant to the main themes and panel sessions. These will be distributed electronically to participants in advance of the Conference, and also made available for use at registration.
