My research interests are in exploring the interrelationships between the nature of urban space and the quality of life, drawing on a range of perspectives including theories of Everyday Life and Psychogeography.  Linked to this is the re-thinking of community development practice drawing on, and integrating,  a range of perspectives including Gramsci, Freire and North American models of community organising.
