Seeking African linkages

This note introduces you to a Northern Illinois University (NIU) colleague, Presidential Teaching Scholar Joseph Scudder (PhD, Indiana University) of our Department of Communications.  Dr. Scudder will be visiting South Africa beginning 13 May 2014: primarily Johannesburg, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.

Earlier details of one post were made available, but the University of Glasgow is currently advertising a large number of other posts, associated with the new ESRC-funded Urban Big Data Centre and the recently-launched MSc in Urban Transport. These posts are an opportunity to be based in a Centre at the forefront of the ‘big data’ movement, and include roles for social scientists and computer scientists.
